It's clear so it is not as visible. A friend of mine uses it to glue things to his art cars, so I know it stands up to weather. Not that my cake plates are seeing much of the outdoors, but you never know. Good luck! His testing methods involve leaving the cars outside in the Ohio weather all the time.
